Travel to Stornoway

Flights - From Inverness, Edinburgh. Glasgow, Southampton. Belfast using Highlands Airways and Flybe.

Ferry - The main route to the north end of the Western Isles is via the car ferry that links Ullapool to Stornoway. There are two return trips each day, with three on certain days during peak periods.

In 2009 prices were approx ?15.00 return as a foot passenger, and ?75.00 for a car and 4 people.

Driving - To Ullapool from the south: From South head up M6 towards, then past Glasgow (A74), Stirling, Perth (A9), Inverness then to Ullapool on the A835.

Buses - Run from Inverness to Ullapool coincide with ferry times. All Buses leave Ullapool from the stances outside the Ullapool Ferry Terminal.
