An Lantair    'The Lantern'       
An Lantair is the Islands new Arts Centre and is based on the waterfront of Stornoway Harbour, not far from the ferry terminal.  It is open from 10am until late from Monday to Saturday and has all day food, exhibitions, live music and events, shopping and creative workshops. It is a friendly place to spend some time whether you are looking for interesting gifts and souvenirs, traditional music, varied art exhibitions, or just to sit and relax over good coffee in the cafe bar or over a meal in the restaurant with its lovely views out over the harbour.

The new building is a great new addition to the islands facilities and a good place to mix with locals and hear some Gaelic.

We will be using one of the centres workshops as our studio base. Centrally placed with all the facilities this will prove to be an ideal base to explore and experiment techniques and ways of working.
